PhD student at The University of Edinburgh; researching psychological trauma; investigating the effects of bereavement due to HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis on staff and volunteers in aid organisations. (Supervisors: Professors Andrew McKinlay and Chris McVittie.)
Voluntary researcher at Rivers Centre (traumatic stress centre).
Member of the BPSSS (British Psychological Society Scotland Survivors of childhood sexual abuse working party) and the Scottish Gender-Based Violence Research Network.
Involved in Victim Support Scotland as a volunteer and working in the Policy Department as part of the Vodafone World of Difference programme.
Previously Master’s student at The University of Manchester; qualitatively investigating factors that contribute to recovery from an experience of sexual abuse, focusing on medical and legal services and institutional and social support. (Supervisor: Dr Susan A. Speer.)
And before that, a BA Psychology student at the University of Otago.
And even before that, a volunteer at God’s Golden Acre, South Africa. Today also a founder of GGA Sverige (GGA Sweden).
